To my friends and supporters,

The outcome of this race is not so much because of me as it is because of the generosity of some of the most interesting, dedicated, and loyal people I know. I have to tell you that one of the things I enjoy most about politics is the delightful people that I have had the opportunity to meet.

I am proud that we were able to reach out to so many of our neighbors in District 33. We united voters across traditional dividing lines and drew support from all areas of our community. We did so by remaining positive and focusing on service to our constituents.

Having avoided the negative tactics and dirty tricks employed by our opponents, we have instead built bridges with people of good will. We face challenges in the coming years and we invite everyone with helpful ideas to offer their input.

Today marks not an end, but a beginning. I am honored to serve my neighbors in District 33. I look forward to seeing you all as we continue to work and live throughout the district.
